Mom’s English subject this semester is American Culture. You’ve allready helped her out telling about where you live but here she goes asking for help again!
Exams are coming up, and according to (at least one of) my teachers you need to know stuff outside the curriculum to get good grades.. Sooo.. If anyone knows any good links, please let me know! I’m pretty sure we’ll get something about the election. And – since Obama won – something along the lines of Lincoln – Martin Luther King Jr – Obama and/or economy. But good history sites and stuff about religion and it’s importance is great too.
I realise I’m not sure what I’m looking for and that it’s hard to know, but IF you know about something just comment here or e-mail me at ane @ whipmops . net (I’m sure you know the drill with removing the spaces). I use any good Internet sources I find, but sometimes the good ones are well hid and I don’t have the time to do any major research.
Oh.. No post is fun without pix, right? So i found a few from last years trip to the US and Canada.
Anna getting kisses from Peruvian Dog Con (he’s a hairy variety of the hairless kind).
Cellery soda.. now there’s a weird American thing. Allthough from what Ellen said it’s not really too common 😉
Sitting in the back (where the dogs used to be – so no seats) of the car heading off somewhere..
THIS is why I tend to make silly faces in pictures.. Hahahaha… I’m not sure if I look depressed or just annoyed with Anna and the camera. I am, however, drinking Saratoga. Ellen was rather good at giving us lokal drinks.. It also makes it easeier to remember that the American victory at Saratoga was important during the War of Independence.
A Norwegian twist… Having some sort of evening meal on the pavement in downtown New York.
Oh well.. back to the books, huh..
