Vacation!

We spent almost two weeks at our cottage. Mom’s severely sprained her ankle and is on “crate rest”, but we left anyway!

Pipette and I went to the beach on Friday with Sirius the Cocker puppy and his mom!

There is no puppy here. Srsly!

Silly Pipette would walk on tippy toes trying to reach the toy.. and if it was too deep to reach without swimming she gave up and turned around… and swam back to shore. Yes. She’d swim back, but not to get the toy. Silly dog!

Sirius was supposed to be her instructor, but he was sleepy and not in the mood for swimming.

He was darn cute, though!

She was a really good girl! I hope to take her swimming again next week and hopefully she’ll be more inclined to swim if I do so too!

Birgitte and Turbo joined us for a walk while up by the lake! He’s a little grumpy at times and didn’t want to wrestle with me, but we still had lots of fun!

Mom and I was out walking the other day and we met a few hooge and weird smelling doggies!

Mom said I’ve seen those before and they’re not dogs, but horses.. I’m not quite convinced!

Freia, my new friend from the tracking course came over for a little play session and some tracking yesterday! We’re already a bit tired by the time Mom got us on video, made it easier for her when we slowed down a bit. Tee hee!

Hi everyone!

I hope you had a great time over Easter. Mom worked this weekend so we went home on Friday, but here are the last batch of photos from our trip. The second time we went out playing with Lykke and Saga Mom brought the real camera, not just the phone. Not sure it made that much of a difference, it’s getting old and struggling to focus. Either way, here are some action shots, mostly myself and Lykke. She was a little grumpier the second time, but we had fun too.

Tomorrow we go home after our week up here. It’s been so lovely, I just wish we didn’t have to go home. The whole work and school thing is overrated if you ask me (mom says it’s somehow indirectly related to my consumpiton of meatables – can you imagine how?!).

Beach Fun with Lykke and Saga!

I made some new friends yesterday! Mom’s been meeting up with this very nice lady to swap.. wait for it.. MEATABLES! Yup, you heard me!

So – meet Lykke and Saga! The one with the snazzy haircut is Lykke, and the lady with nice long locks is Saga.

Their human was really nice, too! But then again, I would expect nothing else of someone willing to meet up and swap meat.

Saga was.. ahem.. perhaps a leeetle grumpy, but she wasn’t so bad once you got to know her. And I’m not a guy who’ll take “no” for an answer.

Mom said something about it being good for me to socialize with dogs, but I would like to point out that I’m actually a NATURAL at this social stuff.

And not just with the humans, even though I’m very experienced at charming the two-leggers.

They threw sticks in the water! The girls were not scared at all, so I had to get my feet wet too.

Look at me go! (I had some technical trouble getting the stick out of there, though. But it’s not MY fault there’s so much water in there!?! How can you ever drink it all so the stick will be accessible??!)

Lykke managed to get hold of it somehow!

But being a true gentleman: I helped!

I’m not trying to take the stick from her! Srlsly!

More walkies!

It’s just getting colder and colder! Brrr… But Mom and I took a walk yesterday after all and had some fun!

0 degrees C, snow and wind.. lovely! But pretty in its own way. I had to stick close to the ground to keep from being blown away.. Tee hee..

I’m loving vacation and lots of time with Mom and P.A., but hopefully it’ll warm up a bit soon, with the wind chill it’s pretty much impossible to stay outside for long. Brr… Good thing I love the couch and my new nylabone!

Backpacking

Hi everyone!

Since I’m almost ONE YEAR OLD Mom is letting me wear Bajas’ old backpack! She says that I can’t have anything heavy in it just yet, and that I’ll need one that fits me better when it’s time for any weight in it, but that I can use this to get used to carrying stuff around. How cool is that? Soon I can carry my own treats along on walkies to make sure we NEVER run out!

The only downside was that I wasn’t allowed to run off leash wile wearing it – something about not rolling around in the snow with it. Hmpf..
