PeeEss: Someone asked how the curling match went. It went very well! It went into overtime and we didn’t expect to win as the Americans had the final stone (generally you have the last stone every other round and you’re expected to take points when you have the last stone. It’s possible to get points when the other team has the final stone, but this is referred to as “stealing points” which indicates how this is fairly uncommon). However we set up very nice guards and the Americans missed. BOL! Now we all have many matches to play – all 10 teams play each other before final rounds wich makes curling a very fair game. Mom isn’t all that interested in sports usually, but curling is like “chess on ice” with lots of strategies and is very exciting to watch. Before the US-NOR match we lost by one point to Canada (also overtime and Canada had the last stone). Mom’s ideal final match would be Canada-Norway once again! Right now we’re playing Germany and are up by 3 points. So we’re all asleep on the couch with our paws crossed tonight!
