At Norwegian Universities there’s ONE obligatory course for all students. Earlier you had to take it the first semestre, but now you only need to plot it in somewhere as you do your bachelor or master. Mom is taking that class now. Mom is very, very bored. But mostly – she’s having to write an assignment by this Friday. Or – she’ll have to hand in a first draft on Friday and so her group teacher can read it by Monday when she’ll be having a talk with him about it. Anyways.. Today she was up at 5.30 to give me a proper walk before heading off to school. And she intend to write the majority of the draft today. Because she’s got to write an assignment on the NHS in her British Civilization class by the end of this week, too.
Now send her some philosophical and encouraging thoughst – will you? I want her to come home as soon as possible. If it takes too long she’ll have to do the writing here with me on the couch, of course. A pug will only be left home alone for so long. But for some reason she claims to work better at school. She’s writing about Peter Singer’s environmental ethics, sentientism, biosentrism and deep ecology. Now doesn’t that sound like fun? I think I’ll have a little snooze. I’m sure if she could choose her own topic she’d write about pug philosophy, don’t you?
Anyway – this was boring, so let me show you a too cute shot of my aunties kittie Herbert aka Herbie!
Now are those cute toesies or what?
Hi guys! I am a little bit excited tonight. Mom is packing stuff and I’m.. well… I’m chomping at my BamBam. But hey – that’s what Moms are for, right?
Mom is a little excited, too! Because her new sewing machine arrived today. She carried it all the way from the post office. Which isn’t too far – but it was big and heavy enough after those 5-10 minutes.
She also sort of finished what was supposed to be a bed for Virus, but let’s say making up pattern as you go along sometimes doesn’t quite work out. Sometimes it would be better to actually have a pattern 😉
I also wanted to show what Mom’s bought for me – my very own tent! It’s a collapsible, fabric crate. So I’ll have somewhere to relax at the show that doesn’t take up so much space at home and isn’t too heavy to carry. I have a collapsible metal crate – but it weighs about as much as me according to Mom. BOL!
It’s got a little padded flooring and plenty of ventilation!
I’ll give it my seal of approval.
Virus came for a visit, too!
It’s been smelling a bit like a new tent – very plasticy – so we’ve had it up since Sunday hoping it would air out a bit. I don’t think it’s gonna bug me, though. So Mom doesn’t really need to worry.
She found the whippet clip to hold our number. I’m sure nobody cares it’s the wrong breed. She has so far not found the lovely, braided kangaroo leather show lead sweet Linda made and sent from Australia, though. She knows it’s here somewhere… But living in such a small space we have LOTS of boxes with stuff to get things out of the way. And all the other show leads are at grandma’s place. Mom called auntie Tove, though, after going to the store where they were either sold out or only had red, blue or beige leads (I’m neither of these colours unless Mom is painting and I’m helping). She said she’d head up into the attic to find one. I’ll be dog number 8 in the ring tomorrow morning (if all show) and we don’t want to need running by the vendor booths to look for a lead.
Here’s a picture of the lead, though! Isn’t Linda talented!?
Big kisses, Bajas
Edit: It’s Saturday morning and we’ll be leaving soon! We look forwards to talking with lots of people and dogs and take loads of pictures. If Mom doesn’t get too distracted. BOL!
Mom said we’re gonna go do something fun on Saturday! We’re going to a dog show! I tried to make Mom find some pictures of us showing.. but she did not do too well…
I’m sure you can see where I am – all the other pugs in the ring are fawn. 😉
This is from my very first show. I’m just a puppy and I was Best of Breed. Now let’s not get into me being the only pug.
I used to be able to stand pretty nicely on a table. We have not gotten around to any practice so we’ll not worry too much about our performance.
So don’t forget to cross your fingers for me when you go to bed on Friday. Not that we’re expecting much just keep them crossed to prevent Mom doing something all wrong. We just want to go out and have some fun. We know the judge, and one of my aunties will come along. We’ll meet lots of doggies and hopefully I’ll get plenty of treats!
We didn’t quite finish the grammar assignment yesterday, so tonight will be grammarnight instead of coach-cuddle-night. Sigh.. Mom and I took our walk first, though, so at least we god a lovely hour out in the sunshine first!
Hi guys! Thanks for complimenting my Eeyore – I’ve always loved my stuffies pretty big. And to the kitties – Virus loves chasing his tail, so he really work for any size! And if you didn’t notice there’s a ribbon attaching Eeyores tail – so even if I take it off it can be put right back again. It’s just attached by velcro, you see – since Eeyore always looses his tail. BOL!
Virus got to go outside, too!
In his new bling bling harness from Ikea.
He even spied on Eeyore and I.
But when something noisy came by up on the road he quickly found the door.
Oh – and for Mom’s shopping yesterday came out pretty well!
– 3kg canned foods for Virus (with all meat and none of that stupid grain stuff, that’s no good for kitties)
– 2,5kg canned food for me (Mom said when she’s carefull giving Virus some moist food since all dehydrated food can be hard on the system, kidneys and stuff.. that I should have some, too! Not a bad idea, I think. Mine has some grains and stuff, but at least I can handle a little veg better than a cat)
– cat litter that’s not sand (we’ve just added a little to his regular sand for now)
– a mat to have in front of the litterbox to catch some of the sand Virus spread leaping out of there
– cat stick’s for Virus
– Friskies Dental Fresh thingies for me (are you suggesting something, Mom? HUH?)
– BucaDog/BucaCat enzymatic paste for our teethies
– pink poop bags used when cleaning out the litterbox (no way she’ll carry my poop in pink bags!)
– some drops that’s good for skin/furs and that apparently have helped several Devon Rex kitties grow their furs in faster
She even got a few things for herself!
Now she’s going to sit down with her second obligatory grammar assignment. Don’t you all envy her? At least we’ve convinced her to stay at home today so we can HELP! We’re so helpful.
